Pet vaccine schedules & requirements
Which shots your pet needs, how long each one is actually good for, and what a boarding facility will ask to see at drop-off. Written for the person holding the leash, not the person holding the chart.

Bordetella is labeled for a year
But plenty of boarders and groomers require it within the last 6 months. A shot your vet calls current can still be turned away at the front desk.
Some shots are a two-dose series
Canine influenza and first-time Bordetella injections need a second dose 2–4 weeks later before they count. Book the vet before you book the trip.
Rabies law by state
Rabies is the one vaccine that's a legal requirement, and the rules differ by state and often by county. We only publish a state once we've read its actual statute.
Stop tracking this on a fridge magnet
PetPass keeps every vaccine record in one place, tells you when a booster is coming due, and gives you a link you can hand to a boarder, groomer, or new vet — so nobody has to fax anything.
PetPass isn't a veterinary practice and this page isn't medical or legal advice. Schedules here follow the published AAHA and AAFP vaccination guidelines and describe what's typical — your vet decides what your pet actually needs based on age, health, and where you live. Vaccine law varies by state and county and can change; confirm current requirements with your vet or local animal control before you rely on them.
